Nataraja and String Theory - 2

We can see the Nataraja is drawn inside a 8x8 Manduka mandala, his left leg is raised suggesting a movement from left to right. Why should he suggest that he is moving from left to right?
Nataraja in Manduka Mandala
His left hand holds Light / Fire and his right hand holds Drum / Damru / Sound. The process of Evolution which starts with the absolute time and Pranava is fantastically represented pictorially. It suggests that the evolution process starts with the rhythmic dance of the PARAMAANU in a 8x8 energy grid and this process evolves first as light and then as sound. This light and sound creates further forms and the entire universe.
It is very easy to answer as to why sound evolves from light? We all know that the light is at a higher frequency and velocity than sound. This is the same reason we see lightning first then hear the thunders. So let’s summarize the DANCE OF EVOLUTION of NATARAJA:
  • From being un‐manifest the Pranava emerges. Or the Pranava evolves the un‐manifest to the manifest and starts the cycle of evolution.
  • This leads to a pulsation which is called as the COSMIC DANCE / CELESTIAL DANCE / DANCE OF EVOLUTION.
  • This pulsation is rhythmic and symmetric.
  • The luminescent shaft of consciousness is called as Brahma Sutra or popularly called as String theory in the modern science.
  • The process of creation evolves from the dance as light then sound evolves from light and then all the visual and aural forms in this universe.
If this is so then the process of dissolution should be that Nataraja’s right leg should be lifted suggesting a movement from right to left isn't? Look at the majestic picture suggesting the DANCE of EVOLUTION and the DANCE of DISSOLUTION as below...
Nataraja - Dance of Evolution
Nataraja - Dance of Dissolution
 a) Dance of Evolution                            b) Dance of Dissolution
There is nothing more scientific in this world that is pictorially represented about the evolution of universe. You should read a book called “The Tao of Physics” by Frijat Capra where as physicist he explains how he experienced this and highlights the dance of the quantum particles in space corresponds to the dance of Nataraja.
Now this central shaft of Consciousness is called Brahma Sutra and according to our scriptures Paramaanu has this string, which means every being, matter, inanimate things in this universe including the tiniest of subatomic particles have this string / sutra. In the future parts we will see the Maths behind this sutra and the pulsation but let us look at what the modern science says about Superstring theory here. Also check out Nataraja at the CERN.
As a wise man said, “We are the most ignorant about their rich past and scientific traditions.” We have a very rich past that is most scientific and it is left codified in a form across thousands of temples in India. Let us just open your eyes and understand the scientific meaning around it. May that “Sutradhaari” dispel our ignorance and reveal to us the secrets of nature.

Nataraja and String Theory - 1

“The Self unfolds itself for its Self "– Bhagavad Gita
The Self unfolded itself with a pulsation and this pulsation is the start of Absolute time (KAALAM). This is the point of singularity in the scientific language and the event is termed as Big Bang. As we saw earlier it was an event of primordial pulsation and not of an explosion which threw away mass because of the explosion into the space. The entire space existed with its subatomic particles and this pulsation made the space to vibrate and this vibration was rhythmic and led to the evolution of this universe. Popularly known as “That one became many”… and ..Vastur eva Vaastu.
This pulsation happened because of the Pranava or the first pulsation resulted in the Pranava both conceptually right. So at the time of this primordial pulsation 2 things happened:
  1. The Absolute Time started. This is called Kaalam.
  2. Primordial and the most sacred Pranava emerged.
This is the reason that Pranava / Primordial OM is so sacred. This Pranava had manifested in 2 forms...
  • Luminescent form as OM the Light. This is the source of all visual forms. The primordial form is represented as ஓம் in Tamil and ॐ in Sanskrit.
  • Aural form as OM the Sound. This is the source of all aural forms. This is more popular form compared to the luminescent form.
Now this concept is very important, since in the Pranava meditation they say us to meditate on the silence after the word OM and also mediate OM as light, OM jyoti rasaha in vedas. So, when we say that sound merges into light, it is all the aural form merges into its luminescent form. All luminescent forms merge with the Paramaanu which is also luminescent. Siddhar Thirumoolar states brilliantly that who realizes that the light (physical light which means the world) merges with light (subtle light), he has realized SIVA (Consciousness).
ஒளியில் ஒளிேபாய் ஒடுங்கிய வாறும்
ெதளியும் அவேர சிவ சித்தர் தாேம - 124
Now let’s come to the 8x8 energy grid of the Paramaanu and imagine that it is pulsating because of Pranava and this Pranava has both light and aural form.
  • They say that this pulsation is rhythmic and symmetric.
  • When something is Symmetric, then there has to be a central line along with the Symmetry comes. For example if our right and left sides are symmetric then the body is divided along the sternum & backbone.
  • Within the 8x8 energy grid / hall there is a vertical luminous shaft called Brahma Sutra (Oli nool). Sutra in Sanskrit and Nool in Tamil means Thread / String.
  • This Olinool / Brahma Sutra is a shaft of consciousness also called Moolathoon / Moolasthambham.
  • This shaft of consciousness vibrates in a particular order called rhythm. This is the order of nature.
  • This rhythmic vibration of the shaft of consciousness is the dance of Siva, the CELESTIAL DANCE / THE COSMIC DANCE / THE DANCE OF EVOLUTION of the NATARAJA.
Nataraja
Look again at the picture of NATARAJA, he is drawn inside a 8x8 Manduka mandala (now you know what it is), his left leg is raised suggesting a movement from left to right. Imagine that he is going to land the left leg to his right side. Tomorrow we will reasoning behind it and explore more on this.

Self-discovery - An Inner Journey....

  • Self-discovery is an inner movement. World-mastery is an outer movement.
  • Self-discovery is an inner journey. World-mastery is an outer journey.
  • Self-discovery is an inner adventure. World-mastery is an outer adventure.
  • Self-discovery is an inner experience. World-mastery is an outer experience.
  • Self-discovery is an inner perfection. World-mastery is an outer perfection.
Movement, journey, adventure, experience and perfection. The inner movement is the vision of the silence-life. The outer movement is the vision of the sound-life. The inner journey knows the goal even long before it has arrived at the goal. The outer journey knows the goal only when it has reached the goal.
The inner adventure is inspired by aspiration and sustained by dedication. The outer adventure is inspired by imagination and supported by determination. The inner experience is: God and I are one; we are eternally one. The outer experience is: God need not and cannot remain always a far cry; He is within our easy reach and if we look for Him we are bound to see Him, feel Him and grow into Him.
The inner perfection is "I am." The outer perfection is "I have."
The inner journey of self-discovery encounters on the way an adversary by the name of doubt. Doubt delays our self-discovery indefinitely. The outer journey of world-mastery encounters on the way an adversary named fear. Fear delays our world-mastery indefinitely. Doubt tries to destroy the cosmic seed within us. Fear does not allow us to see either the cosmic seed or the cosmic tree.
We need meditation and we need concentration. For self-discovery what we need is meditation, a life of meditation. For world-mastery what we need is concentration, the power of concentration. Our meditation longs for Infinity's reality. Our concentration longs for reality's immediacy. Concentration wants something here and now, in the twinkling of an eye. Meditation wants everything slowly, steadily and unerringly. Concentration gives utmost importance to speed, while meditation gives utmost importance to silence.
Self-discovery shows us a road. This road is between our spirit's involution and life's evolution. Spirit is involved in matter and now it is trying to evolve itself. There is a road between the involution of spirit and the evolution of life. This is what we learn from self-discovery. Now, there is another significant road, the road between our revelation and our manifestations here on earth. This road is the road of world-mastery. We reveal what we have within and then we manifest our revelation. How do we do it? We do it on the strength of our world-mastery. We walk along the road between our revelation and our manifestation when we have world-mastery.
He who has discovered his highest Self is an instrument of God, conscious and illumined. He who has acquired world-mastery is also an instrument of God, conscious and fulfilling. He who has realised God in the inner world is undoubtedly a better instrument in the inner world than he who has only acquired mastery in the outer world. But he who has acquired mastery in the outer world is a better instrument in the outer world of dedication than he who has only acquired self-discovery in the inner world.
There are some spiritual figures who give more importance to self-discovery than to world-mastery, while there are others who give more importance to world-mastery than to self-discovery. Both are right in their own way. They feel that self-discovery is aspiration and world-mastery is dedication. But aspiration and dedication should go together. Again, when we dive deep within, we feel that in aspiration also looms large the life-breath of dedication; similarly, in dedication the life-breath of aspiration also looms large. They are one. They should be inseparable, like the obverse and reverse of the same coin. He who has discovered the highest in himself, he who has discovered his Source and at the same time has acquired world-mastery, is undoubtedly an unparalleled instrument both here on earth and there in Heaven.
In order to become a perfect instrument in the inner world and in the outer world, one has to practise both aspiration and dedication. Aspiration is the inner wealth, inner achievement and inner secret. Dedication is the outer wealth, outer achievement and outer secret. Both are of paramount importance. But at the time of the seeker's very start in the spiritual life he has to practise aspiration first, then dedication. When the seeker has been in the spiritual life for some time, then he can practise both simultaneously. At that time he sees they are like complementary souls. But at the very beginning, at the journey's start, it is always better for the seeker to pay utmost attention to his aspiration, and then to dedicate himself later. Once he is safe in his aspiration, then it is of paramount importance for him to practise self-dedication, too.
When we aspire, when we dedicate ourselves, we eventually discover what we eternally are: our eternal Self. And when we dedicate ourselves, we attain world-mastery. It is through our world-mastery that we can inspire our fellow citizens, our brothers and sisters of the world, to enter into the life of aspiration and self-discovery.

Unlock the universe with-in...

Universal SpaceWhen a child is born its sense-organs are brought in contact with the outer world. The waves of sound, heat, and light beat upon its feeble body, its sensitive nerve-fibres quiver, the muscles contract and relax in obedience: a gasp, a breath, and in this act a marvelous little engine, of inconceivable delicacy and complexity of construction, unlike any on earth, is hitched to the wheel-work of the Universe.

The little engine labors and grows, performs more and more involved operations, becomes sensitive to ever subtler influences and now there manifests itself in the fully developed being — Man — a desire mysterious, inscrutable and irresistible: to imitate nature, to create, to work himself the wonders he perceives. Inspired to this task he searches, discovers and invents, designs and constructs, and covers with monuments of beauty, grandeur and awe, the star of his birth. He descends into the bowels of the globe to bring forth its hidden treasures and to unlock its immense imprisoned energies for his use. He invades the dark depths of the ocean and the azure regions of the sky. He peers in the innermost nooks and recesses of molecular structure and lays bare to his gaze worlds infinitely remote. He subdues and puts to his service the fierce, devastating spark of Prometheus, the titanic forces of the waterfall, the wind and the tide. He tames the thundering bolt of Jove and annihilates time and space. He makes the great Sun itself his obedient toiling slave. Such is his power and might that the heavens reverberate and the whole earth trembles by the mere sound of his voice.

Love of Heart!

Heart of Love

What are the first steps in entering the spiritual life?

First, one has to feel the necessity of the inner life. A person must feel totally dissatisfied with the outer life and the outer world. He also has to feel that there is another world, another life, and that is the inner world, the inner life. He has to feel that if he is secure and satisfied in the inner world, only then will he have security and satisfaction in the outer world.
It will be easier for you to make the first step when you know what you are going to get form the spiritual life. The spiritual life will give you inner peace, joy and bliss in abundant measure. People cry for name, fame, earthly achievement, success and progress and so many things. They are right in their own way. But you should start crying inwardly from this moment on for joy, peace of mind and the awakening of your inner consciousness.
We have, all of us, two different types of consciousness: one is finite, which is earthbound; the other is infinite. This infinite Consciousness, this universal Consciousness is within us. So early in the morning, go deep within. Focus your concentration on your heart and try to feel there the existence of a child crying within you. This is your soul. Then consciously try to identify with this inner being, which is absolutely yours. When you are identified with this inner being, you will see the inner being is crying for you, has been crying for you and will cry for you for eternity unless and until you have become inseparably one with the Absolute Truth.
So, early in the morning for five or ten minutes, please try to go deep within with your conscious mind or with your pure, sincere heart and feel the necessity of the inner life. Once you feel the necessity, your inner being will guide you, mould you and shape you along the path. Finally, you can march and run along the path. If you can go deep within and sow the seed of aspiration with your inner cry, then sooner or later you are bound to get a bumper crop.

Food and Breath - 2

“Now is described the discipline for inner purification by which self-knowledge is attained: When the food is pure, the mind becomes pure. When the mind is pure the memory [smriti–memory of our eternal spirit-Self] becomes firm. When the memory is firm all ties are loosened” (Chandogya Upanishad 7.26.2).
“On food rests everything—whatsoever breathes and whatsoever breathes not” (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.5.1). “From food has arisen strength [virya], austerity [tapasya], mantra, action, and the world itself” (Prashna Upanishad 6.4).
“By food, indeed, do all the breaths [pranas, life forces] become great” (Taittiriya Upanishad 1.5.4). “Man, verily consists of the essence of food” (Taittiriya Upanishad 2.1.1). So we are what we eat.
“From food, verily, are produced all creatures–whatsoever dwell on earth. By food alone, furthermore, do they live.…From food all creatures are born: by food, when born, they grow.…Verily, different from this, which consists of the essence of food, but within it, is another self, which consists of the vital breath [prana]. By this the former is filled. This too has the shape of a man. Like the human shape of the former is the human shape of the latter” (Taittiriya Upanishad 2.2.1).
“On food rests everything—whatsoever breathes and whatsoever breathes not” (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.5.1). The spiritual, astral body is drawn exclusively from food, so our food is crucial in our spiritual development.
  • Food, when eaten, becomes threefold (16 parts): the grossest part becomes faeces (10 parts); the middle part flesh (5 parts) and its subtlest part mind (1 part).
  • Water, when drunk, becomes threefold (16 parts): Its grossest part becomes urine (10 parts), its middle part blood (5 parts) and its subtlest part Prana (1 part).
  • Fire (i.e., in oil, butter, etc.) when eaten becomes threefold (16 parts): its grossest part becomes bone (10 parts), its middle part marrow (5 parts) and its subtlest part speech (1 part). When food that is eaten is led away by water, there is hunger. When water that is drunk is led away by fire, there is thirst.
Food Digestion
'For truly, my child, mind comes of earth, breathe of water, speech of fire.' 'That which is the subtle portion of curds, when churned, rises upwards, and becomes butter. 'In the same manner, my child, the subtle portion of earth (food), when eaten, rises upwards, and becomes the mind. That which is the subtle portion of water, when drunk, rises upwards, and becomes breath. That which is the subtle portion of fire, when consumed, rises upwards, and becomes speech.
For mind, my child, comes of earth, breath of water, speech of fire. His son Svetaketu already realizing his mistake, requests his father to tell him more and his father continues. Man (purusha), my son, consists of sixteen parts. Abstain from food for fifteen days, but drink as much water as you like, for breath comes from water, and you will not be cut off, if you drink water. Svetaketu abstained from food for fifteen days. Then he came to his father and said: 'What shall I say?' The father said: 'Repeat the Rik, Yagus, and Saman verses.' His son replied: 'They do not occur to me, Sir.' His father explains that your mind is weak and the recollection of your knowledge is difficult since you have not had food for 15 days. He asks his son to have food and realize that he can recollect his knowledge. The discussion continues this way in Chandogya Upanishad.
The traditional treatment for infertility in India even today is to give medicated cow ghee for the man of the family to eat it for 48 days. This is because semen is produced from Bone marrow as per Siddha / Ayurveda and quality of semen would improve when the good fat content (this is from Cow’s ghee) is increased in the intake.

Food and Breath - 1

Why can we live without food for few weeks but we cannot manage without water more than few days?
We might have observed the types of food, taste and its impact on us as an individual and the society. As per ancient saying our mind gets 2 predominant inputs which keep us our mind alive. The 2 inputs for our mind are Food and Breath. In this article we would not focus on the impact on our mind based on the quality of food but we would focus on the interconnection between Food and Breath.
The following is an excerpt from Chandogya Upanishad, a discussion between Svetaketu Aruneya (the grandson of Aruna) and his father (Uddilaka, the son of Aruna). When Svetaketu returned to his father, at the age of twenty-four, having then studied all the Vedas, conceited himself to be well-read and stern. His father being a very wise man wanted to teach his son a lesson in humility and wanted to highlight that his self-conceit does not befit him.
So he starts by asking him, “Have you ever asked for that instruction by which we hear what cannot be heard, by which we perceive what cannot be perceived, by which we know what cannot be known?” When his son acknowledges his ignorance on this he starts explaining things from evolution.
He says that water is produced from fire and explains whenever anybody anywhere is hot and perspires, water is produced on him from fire alone. Water he says produces food (earth). Furthermore he says that Fire, Water and Earth are the basic elements which manifest themselves in all the loving beings.
The red colour of burning fire (Agni) is the colour of fire, the white colour of fire is the colour of water, the black colour of fire the colour of earth. Learned men knew that, Whatever they thought looked red, they knew was the colour of fire. Whatever they thought looked white, they knew was the colour of water. Whatever they thought looked black, they knew was the colour of earth. Whatever they thought was altogether unknown, they knew was some combination of those three beings.
We are not going see the entire conversation which is very interesting and can be read more from Internet or books. Tomorrow we will see the most interesting aspect of food and its manifestation.

Divine Love...

These are its beginnings, where even in its stillness it is not frozen but filled with the promise of its throbbing, where it then impels itself into a spin discharging particles of light from its luminous core in anticipation of the end product of a manifested outer form, as the birth of a now and later are born, bringing Time and limits into being. An intrinsic order is created as Moolam exercises control on its luminous particles. This vibrant energy flutters to this ceaseless rhythm and is compared to an eternal dance of love, the dance of all reality, the divine dance of Nataraja.

In love with its own beauty and pulsing itself to this divine dance it transforms itself into infinitely complex material forms. Our true happiness lies in the ability to savor our own individual beauty and perfection that pulsates with great luminosity from our own vibrant core. It tells us that we are a perfect manifestation of the ultimate Divine Love that sprung from its own desire to savor its own beauty in our living form. To know this brings one into resonance with that highest vibration of Love that vibrates us and everything into being.

Light, God and God Particle...

At the beginning it was just Consciousness that was luminescent with unmanifested potential energy and residing at resonant state of non‐vibration. This energy was self manifest and was ever-present as Paramaanu or Microbode or Vinporul aka a subatomic or god particle. This is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.
If we look at this particle’s characteristics scientifically, it is Eternal (Anaadi), Primordial (Aadi), without any quality (Nirguna), it cannot be reached / grasped by thoughts of mind (Achintya) since thoughts as energy are much more gross than this, it cannot be measured (Aprameya), Luminescent (Jyothi swaroopa), its omnipotence (Ishvara), omnipresence (Vishva) and Omniscience (Sarvajna) is already known. We can observe that all the characteristics of the god particle are attributed to a personality or a state by the founders of religions.
Every religion and sage has agreed with the fact this fundamental particle or potential energy is LUMINESCENT. Let us see few quotes on this (there are thousands of quotes):
  • Be it Vedic culture, Zoroastrians, Greek or any major culture fire / sun god which represents light is worshiped.
  • “Om Jyothi rasaha” says Vedas
  • In Gayatri mantra you meditate on the supreme light to illuminate you.
  • Vallalar said “Arutperumjyothi, Arutperumjyothi” which means mighty graceful light.
  • If therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light. Mathew 6:22
  • Siddhar Thirumoolar sayss brilliantly that one who realizes that the light (physical light which means the world) merges with light (subtle light), he has realized Siva(Consciousness).
ஒளியில் ஒளிேபாய் ஒடுங்கிய வாறும்
ெதளியும் அவேர சிவ சித்தர் தாேம - 124

So what has happened to the Sabda Brahman (Sound) here? It has merged with the Artha Brahman which is the Light. What can you use to represent this state? Light represents Form and our eyes represent Light / Form. So obviously sound is represented by ears. When sound has merged with light then it means Eyes and ears are merged together. Can you think of anything that represents this state?
Nataraja in Manduka Mandala
[Lord Nataraja in Manduka Mandala (8x8 grid) by Dr. Ganapathi Sthapati]
This concept is captured by representing a Manduka (Frog) or Sarpa (Snake) always. Since for a frog and a snake the ears and eyes are merged. Manduka Upanishad, represents knowledge of this state. And obviously the 8x8 square / cube represent the most subtle energy as an energy grid is called as Manduka Pada / Mandala. The same aspect when it is applied to a gross form / body or a building then it is a 9x9 energy grid and it is called as Paramasyika Mandala. At the gross level the same concept as applied is the WORD where Light (form) and sound and meaning merged into one.

Three Mothers?

Once an elderly lady was illumining her grandchildren by telling them stories. The grandchildren wanted to hear stories from their grandmother, so she decided to tell them a beautiful story. She said, "We human beings use the term 'mother' to refer to the one from whom we came into existence. We also call a cow 'mother' because it is associated with the cosmic gods. Again, we speak about 'Mother Earth.' So there are three mothers. These three mothers help us at each step of life.
"When we are born, we take our mother's milk for some time. Then we take cow's milk, and then we eat vegetables that we get from Mother Earth. Mother Earth produces food and we eat her food. We appreciate, admire and adore these three mothers, but we have to see them in a different light and deal with each of them in a different way. They can't be put together.
"The physical mother cannot eat the same food that nourishes Mother Earth. The earthly ground needs cow dung and manure for its food. Again, the cow cannot live on human milk or be kept in a house. And a human mother cannot live on grass or be put in a cow shed.
"Each of the three mothers has her own way of pleasing us. No one can please us at every moment in our own way. Even your own father cannot please you at every moment in your own way. He has many interests in life. He has to go to work, he has to mix with his friends and there are so many things that he has to do. So do not expect the same thing from each individual, and do not expect everyone to please you in your own way. Also, do not think that you will be able to change the respective roles of human beings. If people are doing different things, you cannot just change them. Each one has to do his and her duty in a different way. And it is you who have to receive from each individual according to the way that he wants to give, not according to the way that you want that person to give.
"Your mother is your friend, the cow is your friend and earth is your friend. But you cannot ask these three friends to always help you all at the same time or to change their respective roles. So, my grandchildren, when your mother gives you something, be happy at the time she gives and feel that this is the only way you can be satisfied. And when the cow gives you milk or when Mother Earth gives you something in the form of food and fruits, you have to be satisfied in the same way. Accept everything from each individual in the way the individual wants to give it, and never expect all earthly beings collectively to please you in your own way. Be happy with what you get, and make others happy in your cheerful acceptance."

Breath and Tamil

Earlier we saw why the language Tamil is called so and its relation with science. We will start with that brief explanation and then lets see how Tamil is related with our breath.
As per 'Aintiram' written by Mamuni Mayan, at this early stage of manifestation of universe there are five stages. They are அமிழ்தல் (Amizhdal - Withdrawal), இமிழ்தல் (Imizhdal - Overflowing), குமிழ்தல் (Kumizhdal - Clustering round in an order), உமிழ்தல் (Umizhdal - Emitting), தமிழ்தல் (Tamizhdal - Resulting into a well-defined form).
First the throbbing Consciousness withdraws into itself. Moolam (Originating Source) consolidates itself through withdrawal called Amizhdal or converging to a point. Minute Cubical tip This Moolam then gushes or explodes outward and emerges and spreads (Imizhdal) and consolidates its self (Kumizhdal). The movement of energy in self spin (kalavisai) propels and projects this energy (Umizhdal) so that it comes out into form (Tamizdhal).
Interestingly enough, for the experience to merge into word-form the inner being has to undergo or travel through these five levels states, namely Amizhdal (“converging to a point”…withdrawal), Imizhdal (‘emerging and spreading’), Kumizhdal (coming together an consolidating’), Unizhdal (projecting or delivering) and Tamizdhal (“coming out into form”). Hence a language as rich with the sweetness of inherent order, originating from the luminosity of the Source is called Tamil. Tamil is word based on the final resultant state called Tamizhdal (தமிழ்தல்).
Tamil language has 12 vowels and 18 consonants both combine to form 216 letters (உயிர் எழுத்து - Uyir Ezhuthu (Life / Energy letters – 12 letters) and ெமய் எழுத்து - Mei Ezhuthu (Body / Matter letters – 18 letters).
We have already seen that “Yoga states that if you breathe through the right nostril (Solar breath), then it is effectively 12 angulas of breath length and if you breathe through the left nostril (Lunar Breath), then it is effectively 16 angulas of breath length”. Now we will see the correlation between this and Tamil language as given below...
  • The 12 vowels correspond to 12 Angula breath of Solar / right breath. This also means all Vowels originate in our navel.
  • The 18 consonants correspond to 16 Angula breath of Chandra / left breath with the addition of Manas – மனஸ் (mind) and உயிர் (life). All consonants originate in our Moooladhara Chakra.
  • The combination of vowels and consonants total up to 216 alphabets in Tamil (216 =18*12) corresponds to one hundredth of 21600 breaths in day. Please note that vowels and consonants create a word with life just as much we would have a living body by the combination of left and right breath.
  • This number 18 is also reflected in பதிெணன் சித்தர்கள், (18 different Siddhars) பதிெனட்டுப் புராணங்கள், (18 Puranas), ேயாக சாதன முைறகளி ஏற்படும் தைடகள் (நிைலகளும்) (18 step process of Sidha Yoga) பதிெனட்டு, அய்யப்பன் ேகாவில்படிகள் பதிெனட்டு (18 steps in Lord Ayappa temple in Kerala), பகவத்கீைதயில் பதிெனட்டு திகாரங்கைள (18 Chapters in Bhagavad Gita). There are more such significances like Mahabharatha war took place for 18 days.

Mastery through adaption?

Softness triumphs over hardness, feebleness over strength. What is more malleable is always superior over that which is immovable. This is the principle of controlling things by going along with them, of mastery through adaptation.

Breath and Time?

In ancient days all things are interrelated with each other and one forms the basis for the other. Let’s look at how breath and time are closely related.
Lets begin with the interesting quote of Swami Chinmaya on time which states that “Time is the period between two thoughts”. As we know a day is divided into 24 hours and each hour with 60 minutes. The fundamental unit of time today is a second for day today life. In ancient India a day is divided into 60 units and not 24 hours, and each unit is called as Nazhigai which has 24 minutes. Two Nazhigai is called a Muhurtam which is 48 minutes. Both of them are very significant measures. So each hour has 2.5 Nazhigai.
We can note that both of Nazhigai and Muhurtam are multiples of 8 which is the fundamental resonance numeral.
  1. Do we know why any yogic exercise / meditation / Pranayama are given a count that is multiple of 24 (in terms of counts or minutes or days)?
  2. Do we know why in Siddha / Ayurveda medical system the treatments are generally prescribed for 24 days or 48 days?
  • In ancient India the concept of time and its measurement are sacred, continuous for billions of years and accurate.
  • When the ancient Sages defined the fundamental period of time (and not unit of time) they wanted that it should correspond to one full cycle. Since earth is always rotating one cycle is 360 degree – it takes 24 hours to rotate around itself and 365 days to revolve around Sun. But both these measures are not fundamental for intra-day measurements. Also how do we equate a spatial measure (rotational distance) with a time value when it comes to Intra-day measurements?
  • Our sages considered that each breath as one degree and one cycle can be considered as 360 degree or 360 breaths. If it is 15 breaths a minute than 360 breaths takes 24 minutes and hence the fundamental period (not unit of time) of measurement is Nazhigai which has 24 minutes. 60 such units make one day.
  • So the most fundamental period of time where anything completes 1 cycle in Microcosm is 24 minutes or 1 Nazhigai.
  • The other aspect to note here is that the same concept is used to overcome death by stilling the breath and mind. Since we have stilled the breath, we have not moved in the time-space scale and also the breath is not wasted which means we can achieve immortality in the state of Samadhi.

Center of Origination!

What most inspires me about this description of the unfolding of life is that it is a love story, the greatest love story, in that it is this Supreme 1st impulse of Love that brought and continues to bring into being, in every nano second, all that we know and experience as our world and the pulsating universe. It starts as the Originating One Source, called Moolam, Brahmam, The Quantum field, finding itself to be so beautiful and perfect and so in love with that beauty and perfection that it begins to vibrate, pulse, spin and order itself, manifesting over and over again into the myriad of material forms in the universe in order to experience and savor that beauty eternally. This process of manifestation besides being vibrant with the impulse of love is spontaneous, orderly, intelligent, unforced, auto catalytic, and pure.

Characteristics of the Parama Anu (God Particle) – 2

  • Are these particles faster than light?
Light travels at a speed of over 300,000 kilometers per second. Theoretically, nothing is faster than light. Some scientists are even suggesting Neutrinos still faster than light in latest version of experiment. In Mahabharatha, Yakshaprasna, the Yaksha will question this to King Yudhishtra as to “what is fastest thing in this world”? King Yudhishtra would reply as “mind”.
According to the Buddha, the speed of mind is faster than the speed of light. In a split of second, the mind can travel and reach up to three thousand of galaxies of worlds. Not only that the mind is fast and far-reaching, its karmic effect are extensive and profound. Always busy is the mind which runs into the past, the present, the future, and back and forth. It grasps at anything it comes across. The mind is constantly loaded with creations made of images, odors, tastes, sounds, touch contacts and discriminating thoughts. As a result, we are trapped in a fast-moving, non-stop, elusive and karmic mental stream. It hinders us from seeing our original nature. That is why we need to control and purify our mind.
Some of the sages have interpreted that since Consciousness is omnipotent and ever connected the communication is seamless, instantaneous and not subjected to the concept of distance. Remember, mind operates only with in the limits of time and space. But Paramaanu or God Particle operates beyond Time and Space. It is instantaneous and hence the whole universe needs to be considered as a being. So to conclude each particle is filled with intelligence and consciousness and their communication to anything is not subject to concept of distance.
  • Who has seen these particles, any empirical proof?
Mamuni Mayan said: Supreme Being is omnipresent and the exceptional art (manifestation process) is eternal. Experience of the Supreme Being’s consciousness led me to worship spiritual Light. Blessings of the Supreme Being helped me visualize ‘Nataraja,’ the dance of Shiva (vibration of the thread of consciousness – Brahma Sutra). Blessings of the Supreme Being helped me create this magnificent art. Nataraja or Luminous thread is the Cosmic Dancer who dances or vibrates by its own volition as it arouses itself to manifest within itself. This vibration or frequency gives rise to the entire material world as individuated frequencies or waveforms. These manifested waveforms called Vishnu (Vaastu) become the Dance. This form is visually demonstrated and encoded through the beautiful statue Mayan cognized and created called Nataraja. When we look at Manduka Mandala or Vastu Purusha Mandala we can think of Nataraja and Luminous space. This inimitable light that Nataraja demonstrates is of the nature of consciousness itself.

परमानुिरित प्रोक्तं योिगनाम 􀇺ि􀃧ट गोचरम ! (Paramaanuriti proktam Yoginaam, drishti gocharam) says Mayamatham. This means the microspace or Paramaanu is visible to the trained contemplatives and meditators only. Living proof for all is the Temple in Chidambaram which represents Space tattva where the temple is built around the concept with enough documentation on it. Many great sages, siddhars, rishis and yogis have seen it and expressed this divine light form in their poems and scriptures. Some of sages like Mamuni Mayan have not only seen this, but have given the dimensions of this and the mathematical formula to manage this energy. Salutations to all the great souls...

The Core...

Center of Universe
My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know it exists.

Characteristics of the Parama Anu (God Particle) - 1

Mamuni Mayan identified the structure of infinite and finite energy particles. Mayan defined the vibration of inner Space and outer Space as a quantifiable one by virtue of which he was able to identify the structure of these energy particles and an order in the development of forms of matter. He discovered that the subtlest and smallest particle exists as a cubical structure containing a vibrating Thread of Consciousness or Cosmic Fire. This Cosmic Fire is the creative element. This particle he called anu or Microabode (Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati). The Microabode is the smallest particle in the Absolute or relative existence. It is the foundation from which all matter rises. Absolute Space is packed with these energy particles.
The entire Space filled with these particles only and these were primal potential matter which is ever lasting. Last week we saw more details about Parama Anu, the God particle. We will now explore more on its characteristics...
  • What was the shape of this particle?
We have already answered earlier. In 2D it is square and in 3D it is a cuboid with all equal sides. Please note that in space it is always 3D and not 2D. It has 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges. This is known is current scientific community as Tetrahedron.
  • What is inside the Microbode or Subatomic particle?
This is a very interesting question. It is an 8x8 energy grid inside this microbode. This essentially means it is a square energy grid of 64 squares inside this Paramaanu.
NatarajaNataraja

  • What is this color of this Paramaanu?
It is luminescent and hence the golden color of the light is what it is associated with. “Hiranyavarnnaam harineem..” says Sri Suktha in the vedas, confirming the color of this Paramanu. Their variations exist but the fundamental one is of golden color.
  • What is the significance of the 8x8 energy grid?
The 8×8 cube is called Manduka Mandala. There are 64 modules or padas within the 8×8 cube. Each module/pada within the cube is of equal size and shape. The cubical structure of the 64 squares of the Manduka mandala is the graphic and atomic structure of the whole cosmos and is the modified version or representational version of the Pranava Veda. The exact center of the 64 squares is called Moolam or primal dot. The primal dot is square in shape and has within itself the presence of 64 squares and within those 64 squares is another primal dot with 64 innate squares with primal dot ad infinitum. (Dr.S.P. Sabharathnam, p xi, Mayan’s Aintiram)
Each module or pada within the 8×8 structure resonates with a specific Space Time, Light, Sound and elemental frequency based upon its position in the Space/ Time continuum. This frequency is called a luminous body or devata or padas or riks. This devata has particular attributes based upon its position and qualities in the Space/Time continuum (placement among the 64 sub-cubes or padas).
In other words anything subtle is a function of 8 and anything gross is a function of 9. The iChing – which is a Chinese divination book and the hexagram which deals with the Science of the subtle is in an 8x8 square matrix. The mental game Chess is played in an 8x8 square. We would find 8 is the number or dimension for the subtle. We will see the importance of 8 and 9 and how beautifully these proportions adorn everything in nature in our daily life later.
